The Borough Park Jewish Community Council (BPJCC) and its president, Avi Greenstein, have been pushing the Covid shots on the Jewish community with a zeal that could only come from a deep moral/religious conviction or massive financial incentives.
I was greatly disturbed by some of the propaganda ads in Mishopacha magazine over the past year or so. Their main ad was "10 reasons why you should take the vaccine." I would imagine that there would be more responsible people willing to put in ads that say "20 reasons not to take the vaccine". But I never saw anythnig of the sort. Plus, there are a zillion Kol Korehs in Hebrew from Chareidi rabbanim not to take the vaccine and I have not seen a single one rendered into English and posted there.
Yechezkel, we tried ans tried to get many publications to take advertisements warning of vaccine risks. They refused and either ignored us or said they would lose too many other advertisements if they did so. So much for freedom of the press....
During the 2019 measles fiasco, it seemed absurd that public 'health authorities' chose to quarantine healthy unvaccinated within Orthodox communities, with no similar orders for those who were sick/exposed. They then leveraged this scenario to generate hate-anger-fear via intense media propaganda. End goal: to revoke the religious exemption to vaccinations (without public input) state-wide, banning 26,000 healthy students (of various faiths) from access to public and private NY schools in June of 2019. This caused those families medical, financial and personal hardship that is incalculable and on-going. To this day, 'they' have not disclosed whether it was vaccine-strain or wild measles that started the outbreak. In hindsight, it seems a bit like a practice test for the current, never-ending 'health emergency'.
