Thank you for referring to these giants of erev rav-dom as what they are! Every ruling, every opinion, every side they take is the wrong one when it comes to the good of the Jewish people.

Thank you. There's more on the way.

We weren't commanded to corrupt the way animals are raised. Factory farms are not what Hashem meant.

No disagreement from me there.

"...ACTUAL meat, which is natural and healthy, which we have a mitzvah to eat, which is an integral part of our holy service of Hashem and the atonement process..." What do you think makes meat healthy? It's not, it causes CVD blood pressure ,high cholesterol, cancer and more. If we only ate meat as a mitzva in the Bais HaMikdash that would be ok; if animals were raised for holy sacrifices for us that would be ok. But factory farming for us to eat animal products every day and using the animal's fluids and the fetal bovine fluids to make biological products is actually avoda zara and totally inappropriate; because its taking a limb from a living animal and sacrificing both the mother and offspring on the same day. Making fake meat is also avoda zara; the heme is taken from separating FBS. The OU has lost their sechel.

Hashem would not command us to eat things that are unhealthy and deadly, and especially not make them an integral part of the avoda.

The Torah explicitly permits eating meat for pleasure, not only in the performance of mitzvos, as long as we are not overindulging and being gluttonous.

Chazal strongly encouraged eating meat regularly to be strong and healthy. For one example, see Chullin 84A.

Even in modern times the Chafetz Chaim strongly encouraged it for the same reason. See this article: https://chananyaweissman.com/article.php?id=447

The proofs are so numerous that it should be self-evident. This should suffice for now to counter your extreme view to the contrary, which I hope you will modify accordingly.

It is true that eating meat from animals that have been essentially poisoned is not the best idea, but in principle meat is indeed healthy and encouraged.

The Controversial Future of Lab-Grown Meat

May 30, 2024

Exercise Twice as Effective as Antidepressants in Treating Depression

EU takes Bold Steps to Eliminate Mercury Use

Lab-grown meat faces significant hurdles in the U.S. as multiple states push for bans. Florida and Arizona recently prohibited its sale, and Iowa banned schools from purchasing it. Despite initial optimism after the U.S. approved lab-grown meat in June 2023, federal lawmakers are also considering restrictions.

The industry is fighting back, with Upside Foods launching a petition and Good Meat exploring legal options. They argue their products are safe and that bans stifle innovation. Critics claim lab-grown meat is unhealthy, citing concerns about unnatural production processes and potential health effects.

International resistance is also growing, with Italy banning lab-grown meat and France considering similar measures. Proponents argue these products are crucial for global protein needs, while opponents stress the importance of natural foods. The future of lab-grown meat remains uncertain amid ongoing legal and political battles.

"Genack is shown sitting in front of a huge stash of alcoholic beverages, and speaks as if he needed them to calm his nerves for the sales pitch for "clean meat" he fumbles his way through."

Or maybe he was drunk!

In short, as with vaccines and junk food, it's just money and politics. If so, those who understand health must speak up too!

From the video: Genack: "...as the world is growing, they're looking for new sources of protein - especially because of climate change".

Climate change?! It is a marketing tool of the WEF! There is a story that Reb Moshe Feinstein was asked about what some say that man may one day need to colonize Mars, as we are running out of space (no pun intended!) here. He answered: "This is not the first time someone has this concern; Kayin and Hevel had it too!'

And by the way, they say that the entire world population can fit into Texas - with plenty of room to spare!

Brilliantly written, just a tiny comment: no such thing in this world as "lab grown meat"! If you believe this ludicrosity then you might also believe that they can produce babies in "artificial wombs", or that Elon intends to, let alone is capable of travelling to Mars (alas he can't)! The reality is that they can't produce anything out of meat in a lab except mold! What they actually use is human flesh harvested mainly from Chinese prisoners, heavily processed with multiple additives including the worst parts of beef & bugs, for taste color & texture which is then shaped into traditional cuts of meat including - try not to throw out now - burgers.

Really meat and animal food is not healthy and we fon't need it to live. If yidden would refuse to eat it except in the Bais Hamikdash, we'd have our 3rd Bais HaMikdash. We could change the world as a community but Yidden are totally into the avoda zara of eating yogurt cheese and milk in their coffee. Yes we should eat animals that are sacrificed. No we shouldn't participate in the avoda zara of the disgusting factory farming routine.

There are practices that you may not be aware of like killing a mother and its offspring on the same day in order to produce FBS for vaccine production. When mommy cows are too tired to give milk they remove the fetus (taking a limb if an animal) and they put a pipelike instrument into the heart of the still living fetus in order to extract its blood (taking a limb from an animal) and then they separate the blood into serum FBS for vaccine products and the red heme for fake meat production.

False and against Chazal.

"If yidden would refuse to eat it except in the Bais Hamikdash, we'd have our 3rd Bais HaMikdash."

You just completely made that up, unless you saw it in a prophecy or a dream.

You're against cruel treatment of animals? Terrific. But don't use that as leverage to distort the Torah and outright make things up. Not gonna fly here.

I don't really hear any argument.

1) The video produced by OU seems to be an explainer of what is "clean meat", so it explains the goyishe context of why and what it is. Is that called "pedaling goyishe ideas", perhaps. I wouldn't want my kids to watch that (or any) video. However, it was not meant to be a halachic explanation of anything.

2) If the idea of kosher certifying falsha-treif is the issue, nothing new here. Unfortunately even good heimishe hekshers are currently certifying shratzim on sushi.

3) If you're upset at the OU's pandering to the goyisha public (like through NY times), you will have to remember that the whole point of the OU is to be a halachik outreach organization for the modern-leaning public. It's trying to keep people "in the fold" (which is why it has a wide umbrella of halachik standards) so, obviously is will be marketing focused on that segment.

If this article is just the rehashing of the above mentioned pain that is so repulsive to sincere yidden, thank you.

I'm sorry the article completely flew over your head.

Whatever the original purpose of the OU was, they have totally lost their way, and have clearly been corrupted. They are not keeping people in the halachic fold. They are davka working for the dark side.

Expand full comment

how are they doing it any darker than anything else in the "Modern Orthodox" world? What's newsworthy here?

Expand full comment

They are far from alone, and I've been writing about many other individuals and organizations. If you don't think it's newsworthy that the largest Kashrus agency and one of the most influential Jewish organizations in the world is in lockstep with Amalek, by all means, move right along. Sorry to waste your time.

Expand full comment

no, I've only seen in your article "working with" Amalek which is very different than "in lockstep with" Amalek. We can strongly disagree with their tactics, but to show evidence of actual intention would be the defining "interesting point" of such an article. For example, saying Agudah "worked with" Nazis during the war to attempt to save Jews, wouldn't be newsworthy. Saying Agudah was "in lockstep with" the Nazis would be shocking.

What do you know about the plans of the WEF? Are you a naysayer?

He's not making any sense and is just being a distraction. Someone who genuinely thinks an article is unimportant doesn't stick around commenting on it and going off on weird picayune tangents. He just moves on.

Cows are not the problem. They are after controlling the food supply, ITS THE NEXT STEP. Dictators know the way to topple a country, through the children. Next Control HEALTHCARE, guess what comes after that?

Control Food, ration.

When you examine how they make the meat it is made i from dead cows and calves and cultivated in bovine broth which is not necessarily free of pathogens, there is also the issue of possible contamination very sneakily with the poisonous plasmids or bacteria with the plasmids that will produce poisons in your body once they get in. And if they put different ones in different batches they can poison you sneakily because the combination will make snake poison and people will drop dead the same as from the plasmids in the covid jabs. It's very problematic and people need to be warned. Dr Ardis has explained all this and it would be interesting to get his opinion on this.

I hate to be sharp, but I wonder if those who are pro lab-grown meat will bother as much to deal with the matter. (And they're pro it because of WEF connections and major money involved. Then Big Pharma will make much money from side effects, and lack of nutrition, juts as they make from Big Junk Food, and they make much money from medicines themselves - which leads to more medicines from all the side effects!!!

There are plenty of other ways to deliver things to the human body. The fake vat grown chicken does not contain actual chicken.

Yes it does- chicken cells are cultivated in poisonous and infected broth. The cells are real chicken cells and over time are likely to develop cancerous mutations not to mention that the viruses in the original cells might produce disease.
